The Direct Learning
Dyslexia Exercise Program (Programme)
Attacks the Symptoms of Dyslexia
The
Direct Learning Dyslexia Exercise Program (Programme) attacks the symptoms of dyslexia at their root cause in a child's brain.
Many programs help a dyslexic child to find techniques which will help them to find ways around their difficulties, but the Direct Learning Program goes straight to the root of a dyslexic child's problems and improves the links their brain makes when they read and write.
This
affordable Program is tailored to every dyslexic child's needs, and provides
parents with a highly organized home program of daily and weekend exercises which any parent can practice with their child. The Program is available to English-speaking parents worldwide.
The
Direct Learning Dyslexia Exercise Program is suitable for:
- parents
with a dyslexic child aged 6-16 at school (or a child with concentration difficulties);
- home-schooling
parents with a dyslexic child aged 6-16.
The
Program is in two parts:
- Daily Exercises: a ten-minute, twice-daily routine of six physical exercises; and
- Weekend Exercises: activities which include drawing, following lines with a pen, remembering short lists, etc.
When
you sign up for the Program, you will receive a full pack with detailed instructions which are clear and easy to follow. Each exercise is shown in action by a child on a CD-Rom. Each exercise also has its own card which your child will keep in the small photo folder you will receive so that the six short exercises for each day are always in the child's small folder for them to follow.
Strong motivation
A clear pattern of motivation is provided so that your child can see that they are progessing through the exercises. Rewards and ten certificates are included as your child reaches each short stage.

An
Assessment is needed first
In
order to purchase the Program, your child must have been assessed as being dyslexic
- or to have a similar learning difficulty - within the last two years. Your child
may also have some degree of attention difficulties such as ADD or ADHD, which
are found among about half of all dyslexic children. (The Program is not suitable
for a child with autism, dyspraxia, Asperger's Syndrome or other severe learning
difficulties.) Your
assessment may have been carried out by Direct Learning, or by a psychologist
(or by a specially trained teacher in the UK). For parents who have had a Direct
Learning assessment, we will have a copy of your child's report on our computers.
Parents whose child was assessed by a psychologist or teacher will need to send
us a photocopy of their full report. If
your child has not yet been assessed, you may: |
